Louise Raymond is the Artistic Director of Malicounda Dance Company. Her goal with this album is to ignite the creative and celebratory nature of children by providing a multicultural singing experience, opening their minds to the world.
Louise has traveled extensively to study drums and dance including trips to Senegal, West Africa Paris, New York and Oakland, California. She has been working with children for 25 years and directed a children’s dance company in California for 5 years.
Professional development is also part of Louise’s agenda. She has trained teachers across Canada with her program on Motivating Children through Music, Movement and West African Cultures.
